Some nights the win is just getting dinner on the table without turning on the stove. I've been keeping a running list of the takeout spots that come up over and over — not a "best of" ranking, just the reliable ones.
Everything below is in 98115, 98125, or 98105 — Wedgwood, Lake City, Ravenna, Sand Point, University Village, and the U District — organized by neighborhood so you can find something close by. Most do pickup and delivery; a couple, like NOLA, are takeout-only by design.

Wedgwood
🌮 Sophie's Tacos — 7500 35th Ave NE · Mon–Sat 11am–8:30pm, closed Sun · (206) 420-2579
Family-run, Mexican and Salvadoran menu. The pupusas are the one reviewers keep coming back to — soft, rich masa that more than one person has called a small revelation. The Gringas tacos (flour tortilla) are the other favorite. Skip the Tata burrito; it's the one dish that gets mixed notes on seasoning.
🍛 NOLA (Indian Take-Out) — 8515 35th Ave NE, Ste C · Mon, Wed–Sun 11am–9:30pm, closed Tue · (206) 566-5204
Take-out only, and reportedly the first in the area serving Bengali/Kolkata-style dishes alongside the standard North Indian menu. A friend's standing order says it all: fried fish, mutton biryani, channar kofta, Malabar paratha, and butter chicken — rated a flat 10/10 for takeout. This one keeps coming up. Also does full catering.

🍕 Veraci Pizza — 7320 35th Ave NE · Tue–Sun noon–8:30pm, closed Mon · (206) 452-5013
My favorite pizza joint in this part of town — yes, over Pagliacci, and I'll say it: might be sacrilege. Wood-fired and thin enough that you don't leave full of regret. Prosciutto e Arugula is my order; the kids go straight for the Pineapple Express.l.
Maple Leaf
🥟 Snappy Dragon — 8917 Roosevelt Way NE · Tue–Sat 11am–9pm, Sun 4–9pm, closed Mon · (206) 528-5575
One of our regulars — I get the beef with broccoli for my veggies, there are solid gluten-free options like the rice noodles, and the kids go straight for the fried rice every time. The wonton soup is the real household favorite, though I usually have to fight everyone else for a cup before it disappears.
Lake City
🍱 Himitsu Teriyaki — 8014 Lake City Way NE, Ste E · Mon–Fri 11am–9pm, Sat 11am–8:30pm, closed Sun · (206) 524-9929
Ownership's changed hands over the years and dishes have varied, but our go-to has stayed constant: the spicy chicken bento. Good sear on the chicken, real bite in the sauce (there's a regular version too if heat's not your thing). Kids go for the dumplings and yakisoba, and portions are generous across the board.
🍱 Manna Teriyaki — 11064 Lake City Way NE · Mon–Fri 11am–8:30pm, Sat 11am–8pm, closed Sun · (206) 364-4064

We found this one through an Infatuation write-up calling it the best teriyaki in North Seattle, and it lived up to it. My husband calls the spicy teriyaki his favorite in the neighborhood; the katsu, for me, was the best I'd had in a long time — and it gets fought over the second it hits the table.
🥙 Zaina Food Drinks & Friends — 8000 Lake City Way NE · daily 11am–11pm · (206) 528-3876
Patrons for well over a decade — we usually get the gyros platter to share, plus a side of cauliflower, and the girls make a beeline for the fresh pita & hummus every time. The falafel and shawarma are just as good, and the hummus is the kind you keep scooping until it's gone.
Ravenna / Sand Point
🍜 Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen — 2316 NE 65th St, Ste 101 · daily 11am–9pm · (206) 913-2993

Thai street food by way of Kirkland and Lynnwood — this Ravenna location was the first one in Seattle proper. The crab fried rice and papaya salad are the two worth ordering together.
🌮 El Camion — two locations: 3803 NE 45th St (daily 11am–9pm) and 6319 Roosevelt Way NE (daily 10:30am–8:30pm)
Our family's standing answer to "what's for dinner tonight." Between the four of us, we've worked out a system: arroz con pollo for me, carne asada burrito for my husband, quesadillas for the kids. Everyone's happy, nobody's negotiating. We usually go to the Sand Point truck — easier parking.
🍕 Mioposto — 3426 NE 55th St · Mon–Thu 11:30am–9pm, Fri 11:30am–10pm, Sat 10am–10pm, Sun 10am–9pm · (206) 582-1899
Wood-fired pizza with a loyal following for the Spring Lamb pie — goat cheese, red pepper, and real ambiance to match. An easy date night pick when you want something better than delivery without the full production of a night out.
University Village
🍗 Ma'ono Fried Chicken — 4626 26th Ave NE, inside Rachel's Ginger Beer · Mon–Thu 11am–8pm, Fri–Sat 11am–9pm, Sun 11am–8pm · (206) 499-5470

The fried chicken sandwich here is the one to order — it's big enough that I can only finish half in one sitting unless I'm starving. If you like spice, this is the place: real flavor behind the heat, not just heat for heat's sake.
🍜 Ba Bar — 2685 NE 46th St · daily 11am–9pm · (206) 328-1112
Vietnamese street food and cocktails from the Monsoon family — the crispy imperial rolls, pho, and green papaya salad are the ones to get. The pick for a night when takeout should feel a little more like going out.
U District / Roosevelt (98105)
🍛 Taste of India — 5517 Roosevelt Way NE · daily 11am–9pm · (206) 528-1575
One of our go-tos (NOLA's next on our list). Eggplant bharta, butter chicken, and lamb vindaloo are the regulars, plus more naan than any of us should probably order — but you only live once.
🍜 Taste of Xi'an — 4523 University Way NE · Mon–Fri 11am–3:30pm & 5:30–10pm, Sat–Sun 11:30am–10pm · (206) 231-9999

Taste of Xi’an’s hand-pulled noodles are legendary!
Hand-pulled noodles finished in chili oil — the hot oil biang biang noodles are the one reviewers circle back to most, with the lamb skewers and roujiamo (the Xi'an-style meat sandwich) coming up again and again too. Portions run large enough to share.
🥯 Saint Bread — 1421 NE Boat St · Mon–Sat 7:30am–6pm, Sun 7:30am–3pm · (206) 566-5195
The fried egg sandwich on melonpan — bacon version — is the one reviewers can't stop talking about, and the cardamom buns get compared favorably to actual Scandinavian bakeries. Go before 11am; pastries sell out fast and the line gets long on weekends.
🛒 H Mart Grab & Go — 4223 University Way NE — directly across the street from the H Mart grocery store · Mon–Sat 9am–7pm
A dedicated grab-and-go counter separate from the grocery store itself — spam musubi, kimbap, sushi, and Korean fried chicken, no cart required.
🍨 Sweets to Go (Bonus)
🍦 Raindrop Creamery — 2120 NE 65th St · Thu–Fri 3–9pm, Sat 12–9pm, Sun 12–8pm
Southern-style frozen desserts and artisan waffle cones on the Ravenna/Roosevelt strip.
🧋 Luu's Cafe — 8507 35th Ave NE · daily 11am–7pm · (206) 946-6778

A Vietnamese café that does boba drinks and bubble waffles — the kind of place that doesn't need to try hard because the food does the talking. One of my kids' favorites; they'll take it over big chains like Happy Lemon any day. The bubble waffle is the one to get.
